Just wanted to post a quick note and then I'm off to get dinner going.

Not much is going on this week. Busy at work getting the financials done for September.  Our weather has gotten much cooler and pretty rainy and the forecast is showing a possibility of snow showers for Sunday, uck!!!. Had to turn the furnace on Friday cause it was just too damp which caused my old arthritis to start hurting too.

Finally figuring out the new computer and all the new programs. Vista is not too bad. Still am not sure what antivirus software to use. I have used Norton for a really long time but am wondering if there is something just as good and not as expensive to maintain. Right now McAfee is free for 30 days and seems to be doing pretty good.

Engrossed in a new book by James Rollins called "The Last Oracle". Pretty good so far but only about a third of the way into it.

One piece of news that hit the paper today was, our little town of 6,000 had its first case of the H1N1 flu in the school system. Students name and age was not given and which school was involvd was not released either. Really scary, this one is!!!

It's almost 6 and past time to get dinner going. Tonight is fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy and salad! Love gravy when I fry chicken or pork chops.

Aww thanks for visiting my blog. I feel much better now. Just sleepy, lol. It's interesting to learn that the weather has changed all over the U.S. It's gotten cooler here too and cold at night. :)

I have Vista on my laptop, which is what I'm using right now, and for my antivirus I'm using "AVG" which is free. It's pretty good so far. For my firewall, I used to use the "Zone Alarm" but since it was interfering with the internet surfing, I am now using the Windows one. I like McAfee better than Nortons. McAfee doesn't seem to slow my pc down like Nortons did.

It's sad about the H1N1 entering your area. I hope the person gets well soon and I hope the virus doesn't spread further. My prayers and thoughts are with your town.

The girls school is giving out free seasonal flu shots & eventually will be giving out the ones for the "Swine Flu" . . . at first I was like Good Deal but now . . . not so much, the situation has played heavy on my heart & I have declined the offer, which is not going over too positive with the school . . . ah well! Bad trust between us I reckon

Now . . . hhhmm, curious if I have an extra tater round here . . . hhmmm
